Perth is the home of the Matildas Sam Kerr and residents are passionate about sport and their sporting teams, the women and men’s A-League teams, Perth Glory. The women’s A-League side is a premiership winner and two-time A-League grand finalist. Perth has also played host to a number of men’s and women’s football internationals including the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 and several Matildas qualifying and friendly matches.

Hosting the opening ceremony match on Sunday 1 March 2026, featuring the Matildas, and a semi-final on Tuesday 17 March 2026.
Perth Stadium is Western Australia’s premier destination for sport, entertainment, and unforgettable experiences. With a capacity of 61,000 and located within the buzzing Stadium Park precinct, it offers panoramic views of the city skyline and the eastern foothills.
Crowned the "Most Beautiful Sporting Facility in the World" by the Prix Versailles, the stadium hosts a powerhouse lineup of events—from AFL and cricket showdowns to past global spectacles like WWE, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Premier League and European football, and rugby’s iconic Bledisloe Cup. It has also welcomed international music acts including Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and Eminem.
But the excitement doesn’t stop at the field—fans can elevate their visit with stadium tours and attractions including the “Halo” rooftop walk, climbing 42 metres above ground for jaw-dropping views.
After dark, the stadium comes alive with a state-of-the-art LED lighting system that illuminates the entire precinct. With its bold design, immersive experiences, and world-class events, Perth Stadium is more than a venue—it’s a destination.

Perth Rectangular Stadium
Perth Rectangular Stadium will host 6 group stage matches on 4 March, 7 March and 9-10 March and 2 quarter-finals on 13-14 March.
Voted as Australia’s best Rectangular Stadium for two consecutive years, Perth Rectangular Stadium serves as the competition base for the high-performance sporting codes of Rugby League, Rugby Union and Football.
Sport has been played on the site since 1910, but it has undergone major developments with Perth Rectangular Stadium now a state-of-the art and versatile venue, providing world class sporting and concert events, including the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, HSBC SVNS, FIM World Supercross doubleheader, Dolphins v Roosters NRL matches and is home to Perth Glory, the Western Force and the newly announced Perth Bears.

The Swan Valley is Western Australia’s oldest wine region, with more than 180 years of wine making and over 150 wineries – and it’s only 30 minutes drive from Perth!

The World’s Happiest Animal, the quokka, can be found on Rottnest Island just 30 minutes ferry ride from Perth.

Kings Park and Botanic Gardens located in Perth City is one of the largest inner-city parks in the world – surpassing New York’s Central Park.
