
KPop Demon Hunters star Audrey Nuna to perform at AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026™ Opening Ceremony
The AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™ has landed a major global music coup, with Audrey Nuna - KPop Demon Hunters star - confirmed to perform live at the tournament’s Opening Ceremony at Perth Stadium on 1 March, ahead of the blockbuster opening match between the Matildas and the Philippines.
Audrey Nuna is known to millions around the world as the singing voice of Mira in the global hit film KPop Demon Hunters. Her appearance at the Opening Ceremony offers fans a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see the star perform live, in a special solo performance created exclusively for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™. Audrey will treat fans to a special non-broadcast performance to be seen exclusively inside Perth Stadium.
Fresh off Oscar nominations for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for the film’s hit anthem “Golden” and following historic Golden Globe Award wins for the same two categories, as well as five Grammy Award nominations including Song of the Year, KPop Demon Hunters has cemented its status as a global pop culture phenomenon.
The film has also become Netflix’s most-streamed movie of all time, breaking platform records and reaching audiences in every major market around the world. In addition, the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack was a chart-topping phenomenon in Australia in 2025, spending nine weeks at No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
Taking to the stage before kick-off and again at half-time, Audrey’s performance will transform opening night into a landmark celebration of sport, music and culture, delivering an electrifying and unmissable start to what will be the biggest AFC Women’s Asian Cup in history.
Audrey’s half-time set be an in-stadium exclusive performance, bringing one of the world’s most talked-about pop culture phenomena to one of the biggest stages in women’s football.
Adding to the excitement of opening night, a select group of ticket holders will have the chance to meet Audrey Nuna in person.
The Opening Ceremony will kick-off what will be a record-breaking edition of the tournament and the biggest celebration of women’s football in the region, with Asia’s top 12 women’s football teams competing across Perth, Sydney and the Gold Coast from 1–21 March 2026.
On the pitch, the opening match promises to deliver just as much excitement, with Australia facing a Philippines side full of confidence after making history by winning the 2025 Southeast Asian Games in December.
With a global music star and a high-stakes opening clash, 1 March at Perth Stadium will be one of the must-see events of 2026.
